On this week of Bad For The Community, we had the pleasure of chopping it up with Chavo, an emerging artist signed to Pierre Boure’s “Sosshouse” label. Chavo is well known for his “Chavo’s World” series, a collaboration between him and Pierre; as well being the son of none other than Benzino, a legendary rapper and co-founder of The Source magazine
Chavo took us on a journey through his life, starting with his upbringing in Boston, before spending some time in Miami, and eventually landing in Atlanta (1:30). He also spoke on his dad being a major influence on why began pursuing music, and how he developed his own unique style (8:00). From being signed to Interscope as a young kid before transitioning into an independent artist, Chavo talked about how he met Pierre Bourne (13:30), why he chose to leave Miami to focus on his music (24:00), and what to expect with his upcoming project “Chavo’s World 3” (40:30).
